As an archaeological consultant I have undertaken archaeological surveys, assessments, monitoring and excavations mostly under the Resource Management Act and the NZ Historic Places Act in Northland, Auckland, Hauraki, Waikato, the Bay of Plenty and Taranaki.

I have worked with large firms and organisations such as LandCo/Todd Properties, Auckland Council, Environment Waikato, Tauranga District Council, Mighty River Power and Shell Todd Oil Services, Heritage NZ (NZ Historic Places Trust), Living Earth Ltd, as well as local developers and landowners.

I have written over 260 technical reports relating to the archaeological survey, assessment, monitoring and excavation, mostly under the Resource Management Act and the Historic Places Act, and the Waitangi Tribunal and presented evidence in 16 hearings in council, Environment Court, Waitangi Tribunal and the Maori Land Court.
